Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel by Nsavi Safaris guide and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the largest population of mountain gorillas and hosts a variety of spectacular birds including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including the blue-throated broadbill, bar-tailed trogon, and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening so that you are well rested for a thrilling experience of gorilla tracking the next day.
Day 2: Gorillas and Canoe Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters where you will have an orientation and meet your guides for the day. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the gorillas. The trek will take between 2 and 7 hours but is well worth the effort. The trek is thrilling yet challenging as you hike through the forest to the gorillas and once you reach a gorilla family, you will have a chance to observe the family in close proximity for an hour. Thereafter, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. This lake has 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it almost magical. Proceed to the lodge and once settled in; you will have a canoe boat ride on this beautiful lake and relax at the lodge.
Day 3: Drive to Entebbe Airport and Departure
Today you will have breakfast and then drive back to Entebbe International Airport and catch your onward evening flight back home.
