This 6 day Maasai Mara and Northern Serengeti safari goes to Kenya and Tanzania for the great wildebeest migration. Serengeti national park is the oldest and most famous national park in Tanzania. Maasai Mara national reserve is the most visited destination in Kenya. Serengeti and Maasai Mara are part of the Mara region which is regarded as the best destination in Africa for a game viewing exposure- the region has garnered world attention because of the great wildebeest migration and big 5 game viewing
This safari was carefully designed to give our clients the best wildlife safari. During this safari, you shall travel in a comfortable 4×4 car where everyone has access to the window seat. Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Jomo Kenyatta International airport
Karibu-welcome to Kenya; you shall be picked up at the airport by our tour guide to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your time of arrival, a simple Nairobi city tour is possible. Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya. At the hotel, you shall have the best meals, and make the necessary preparations for the entire journey. During this day, you shall have some time to discuss with the tour guide your entire journey.

Day 2: Departure to Maasai Mara
Early in the morning after breakfast, our tour guide/ company representative shall come to your hotel. He/she will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Maasai Mara. The distance from Maasai Mara to Nairobi is 280km. Along the route, you shall have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley observation area- The Great Rift Valley is one of the longest rift valleys in the world. The valley stretches from Lebanon in Asia to Mozambique in Africa. At the observation area, you shall experience wonderful sightseeing options. Later, you will continue to Narok Town- the nearest town to Maasai Mara. And upon arrival in the Mara region, which is expected to be after 6 hours, you shall check in your lodge/campsite for relaxation, refreshment, and Lunch. Afterwards, you shall travel to Maasai Mara for an afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Great migration observation
Maasai Mara is exceptional in terms of wildlife. It is possible to spot the big 5 during the afternoon game drive. Apart from the big 5- lions, Elephants, leopard, buffalo and Rhinos; the park hosts other wildlife species such as bat-eared fox, hyenas, cheetah, Jackals, impalas, duikers, coke’s hartebeest, Masai giraffe, roan antelopes, and many more. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Serengeti
Early morning breakfast and depart towards our Kenya and Tanzania boarder, after all visa process we shall embark with our journey towards the Northern Serengeti corridor, on the wa you shall have exposure to different instinctive and non-instinctive wildlife behaviors. If you visit Kenya during July- October, there is a possibility of witnessing the great wildebeest annual migration- an event that is famous and revered around the world. During the great wildebeest migration; millions of wildebeest and hundreds of thousands zebra, topi and Thomson’s gazelle cross from the Serengeti to Maasai Mara. Upon arrival in Serengeti, you shall check in your lodge, relax and enjoy the wonderful African or continental dishes while contemplating about the next day.

Day 5: Migration Safari in Serengeti
Serengeti is the oldest national park in Tanzania and the best national park to visit for game viewing. The park inhabits several wildlife species. It is possible to spot the big 5 as well as other wildlife species. During this day, you shall wake up early in the morning and after breakfast, you will visit Serengeti national park with packed lunch for a whole day game drive. You will travel to different section of the park for an awe-inspiring game viewing. Carrying a camera to document your day is necessary. At sunset, you shall return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti – Kilimanjaro International airport
This is the last day of your safari. It is possible to extent this tour to include other destinations such as Zanzibar. After breakfast, you shall check out of your lodge and transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha then to Kilimanjaro International airport to take a flight back home. Other drop- off destinations within Tanzania can always be discussed with our company.
