Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Departure to Amboseli
At Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly received by a safari guide. You will be given a short brief on your safari and thereafter you will leave for Amboseli National Park. This drive takes you through the industrial area of Kenya and beyond into the Maasai plains of Amboseli. Arrive at the park in the afternoon where you will have your lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive.
This afternoon you will encounter the largest mammals on land in this park. The water pans in the park are a major attraction considering the dry and dusty conditions of Amboseli. Other animals here include lions, buffaloes, antelopes and much more. Amboseli is also home to thousands of water birds.
Dinner and accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp
Day 2: Amboseli National Park Safari
Today you will fully explore Amboseli National Park. Take an early morning drive in the park; Mt. Kilimanjaro is best viewed at this time. Drive back to the lodge/camp where breakfast will be served. Spend the entire morning at the lodge relaxing before departing for an afternoon game drive. Spot more wildlife and large African elephants herds as you enjoy the beautiful sunset. Drive back to your camp for dinner and accommodation.
Dinner and accommodation: Kibo Safari Camp
Day 3: Departure to Lake Naivasha
Take an early morning drive and thereafter begin the adventurous journey to Lake Naivasha. This drive takes you back via the city in the sun and down the rift valley escarpment. Arrive in the afternoon and have lunch. Explore Lake Naivasha by taking an afternoon boat ride and make your way to the Crescent Island in the middle of the lake. Cresent Island is home to a number of wild animals but you can walk around the island fearlessly. For bird lovers. This is another ornithological paradise. In the evening, return to lodge for your overnight stay.
Accommodation and dinner: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge
Day 4: Departure to Maasai Mara
Take an early breakfast and thereafter start your journey to Maasai Mara. Enjoy the beautiful Rift Valley landscape along the way. Arrive at your designated lodge/camp at the Mara in the afternoon where you will have your lunch. An afternoon game drive welcomes you to this wildlife paradise. Among the most beautiful parks in Africa, Maasai Mara offers you the perfect chances to spot wildlife. This includes big cats, elephants, Rhinos, buffalo’s impalas including other herbivores. This is also the perfect sunset destination.
Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Dinner and accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara
Day 5: Maasai Mara Safari
This day will be spent fully in the Mara. You have two choices; you can take an early morning game drive, back to the lodge and later take an afternoon game drive with an option of visiting a local Maasai village or you can opt for a full day game drive where you will take packed lunch with you. Maasai Mara gives you the perfect chance to see the big cats hunt. It is also home to the Big cats diary documentary. Spot hundreds of bird species and animal species as you also enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Maasai Mara.
Dinner and Accommodation: Zebra Plains Mara
Day 6: Return to Nairobi
Take your breakfast early in the morning and thereafter leave for Nairobi. Drive through the Great Rift Valley and if you wish to make a stopover at the viewpoint. Drop off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
