Safari Overview
This is a Kenya classic safari touring Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks. The tour departs Nairobi and visits exciting class A category Kenya national parks and game reserves. On the tour, you shall visit the tree-studded plains of the great Masai Mara National Reserve, Amboseli at the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro and the scenic hills and valleys of the Tsavo West. This 9-day safari is a diverse representation of entire Kenya.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
We will pick you up from the hotel and drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewing point to take photos of the historical escarpment. Masai Mara is part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is home to the Big Five; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will have an introductory game drive on this day. This prepares you for the full-day game drive the next day. You’ll later retire for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2: Explore Masai Mara Entirely
You’ll wake up for a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise game drive with a great chance of spotting predators on a hunt.
You’ll then return to the camp for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Masai Mara. You may also opt to relax at your lodge in the morning, enjoy lunch on-site, and then head out again in the afternoon once the weather has cooled off a bit. You later go for a mouth-watering evening game drive before coming back for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru
After an early morning game drive in Masai Mara, you will go back to the camp for the breakfast and leave for Lake Nakuru National Park Arriving late in the evening for a short optional game drive. You will be dropped straight to your Hotel to freshen up and have enough rest as you prepare for an early morning game drive the following day.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru- Amboseli National Park
You will have an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park is known for leopards which are frequently sighted and the two species of rhino – Black and White Rhino among many other animals. Lake Nakuru National Park is also known for many species of birds and flamingoes.
After breakfast you leave for Amboseli National Park with hot lunch at Nairobi. Arriving at Amboseli National Park late evening with late evening game drive if time allows. Amboseli is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which is dominates the landscape, and open plains.
Day 5: Float Over the Endless Plains of Amboseli
Have an early morning breakfast at 6.30 am and leave with packed lunch for the full-day game drive. You will spend time in the park with a great view of its popular residents like the well-known predators and the targeted herbivores such as zebras, giraffes, hippos and big elephants. You will also have a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll later retire for dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park -Tsavo East National Park
On this day, you will wake up early for breakfast before leaving for Tsavo East with a picnic lunch. We drive along the Nairobi-Mombasa road to the Tsavo East National park. Tsavo East is the largest protected area in Kenya, a land of unparalleled biodiversity and naturally home to Africa’s “Big Five”—black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, and of course, lion.
On your game drives here you can also come upon eland, gerenuk, impala and Masai giraffe. And the birds! Over 500 species like the black kite, lovebird and sacred ibis await your discovery. You’ll later retire for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 7: Magic Out of Tsavo Plains
A full game drive starts where you will see a number of the Big Five. Visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of wildlife can be seen. Later, drive for lunch. Return to the park for a thrilling evening game drive. Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest parks in Kenya, located South East of Kenya near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta District of Coast Province, inland from the Coast, it is 13747sq km.
While the Tsavo West National Park is also located in the Coast Province of Kenya covering an area of 9065sq km. The park was opened in April 1948. You’ll later retire for dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 8: Tsavo East National Park - Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast in Tsavo East, we will head to Tsavo West National Park with game viewing en- route to Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary.
This is a full day of game drives in Tsavo West. The game drive includes a visit to Mzima Springs where hippos, crocodiles, and different species of fish can be seen in crystalline clear water and lots of different species of birds. Proceed with your game drive visiting the Shetani Lava Flow where you will be able to see Africa’s highest snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro from a distance. You’ll later retire for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 9: Tsavo West National Park - Nairobi
Have an early morning game drive in search of animals killing and eating as we head back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at the airport for your outbound trip. Alternatively, you can decide to spend more days in a Nairobi hotel.
